A traditional German Märzen lager with a deep-orange color and solid white head. Vienna malt creates the backbone of the flavor, complemented by Munich and Crystal malts. Hallertau hops is added to create a balanced bitterness that finishes smooth, clean, and enjoyable. Prost!

A regular 12-oz can poured into a stein results in a caramelly brown draught with a large but rapidly fading head, leaving vigorous bubbles and a few small, receding islands. The aroma is fresh and malty, as one would expect from this style. It's bready. The taste follows. It is reminiscent of crackers at first but follows with that malty, bready marzen goodness. It has a little bit of a bitter bite on the back, but also a touch of sweetness. It's rather dry and mid-bodied, decently carbonated, a little creamy. A slight bit of lingering spice is reaching me.

Good, solid stuff. Regret not yet having the opportunity to try more from this brewery.

12 ounce can, canned on 08/31/22, forgot if Brutaltruth bought this at the brewery or Kenny Road Market when we were there last week. Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a somewhat clear burnt orange color with about an inch or so off-white head that stayed around for a while. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toasted and bready malt, caramel, toffee and some herbal hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also a bit of stone fruit flavor noticeable. Mainly malty but the hops are there. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought it was a good overall brew, worth picking up if you like maltier tasting Oktoberfest brews!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter I think purchased from the brewery.
This solid little endeavor pours a dark ruby tinged brown with a decent
head of off white foam that settles to a thin ring and fizzles quickly. Nose
of tasted malts, caramel, subtle toffee, and dark raisins. Flavors hit the mark
with dark raisin, subtle peach, caramel, light toffee, and subtle herbal hops.
Very nice mouth feel; medium body, smooth, medium light carbonation, and
a subtly hopped malt driven finish.

Overall----excellent, a bit outside the style, but still excellent!

Cheers

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear rich amber with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had Vienna malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with noticeable Vienna malt base with slight bitter finish that accents a sweet rye and yeast presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Canned on 8/11/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours a hazy and murky brown; some sediment and floaties; small light khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing.

The aromas have lots of caramel leading the way. Some toffee and dark fruits. Lots of malts.

The flavors follow the nose. More caramel leading the way. Some raisins. Some grains and corn. Slightly sticky. Subtle sweetness. Subtle bitterness. Strong malt backbone. All of that and it's still a pretty clean brew.

Mouthfeel is great. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, spritzy, smooth and slightly fluffy.

This isn't exactly a classic or traditional example of the style, but it's still really good nonetheless. This brew is a little rough around the edges for the style, but I still really like it. Nice aromas and flavors. It's very enjoyable and fun to drink.
