Cloudy golden color with under a finger of frothy carbonated head. Taste is similar to an AAL just a bit, but this one has a bit of earthiness and herb taste. Malt comes through nicely and finish is good and a bit yeasty. Get a touch of fruit and a bitterness at the end. Very light, almost too light

A: Orange and really cloudy, with a small white head.
S: Sweet malty caramel, and plenty of grain. Light floral notes.
T: Lots of malt sweetness, and touches of caramel. Decent herbal bitterness in the finish.
M: Medium in body, with medium high carbonation.
O: A touch sweet, a touch cloudy, but in general a decent brew.

Pours golden orange with just a bit of haze. A 2 finger white head from a hard pour recedes quickly to a ring around the glass and a light film on the surface. Light to moderate carbonation.
Lightly nutty and citric in aroma.
Repeat in the taste, only the nutty and citric character is more pronounced. Occasional hints of cherry. Only the barest hint of bitterness in the follow through, like citrus rind.
Medium full in body. A bit heavy for the style, but I like it. Moderate to moderately high peppery carbonation on the tongue yields a decent burn in the throat . Rather viscous and smooth.
While this beer may push the envelope in regard to the style, it is IMO a very good brew. In sampling the first half of the six pack, I was not overly impressed, but on closer inspection today, the brew rose to the occasion. Definitely worthy of resampling.

Small, quickly descending head. Only a few tiny bubbles on the glass. Gold to amber color, darker than most pilsners. Hazy.
Soft pale malt notes to start the nose. Very low hop presence.
The same fluffy malt hits the tongue with a tinge of sweetness. The hop is far more pronounced in the taste but still plays second fiddle to the base. Quite rich for the style, decent carbonation. Short, mostly sweet aftertaste. Overall, a smooth pilsner which could use more noble hop presence. Not a bad beer, just not what I was expecting.
