Deep brown with minimal tan head and evercovering lacing for days. Big roasty nose and a good amount of malt. Taste is heavy with cold brewed coffee and just a little weird funkiness. Not sure what that is. Finish is relatively milf with a nice nuttiness and roasted coffee at the end

Half growler from Kroger tap room in Roanoke.
Pours dark brown with ruby highlights. Slightly translucent when held up to a bright light. An initial 4 finger tan head with little lacing.
The aroma is coffee with dark fruits and a bit of citrus. Swirling the brew in the growler gives a hint of chocolate.
The taste is primarily coffee with light dark fruits and bitter charred malts.
The body is a bit light for a stout, but still rather viscous and full on the tongue. becoming syrupy and sticky. Carbonation is light, and the brew is rather drying in the end.
This is a good stout. A bit thin for the style with low carbonation, but still attractive, and tasty. Way sweet for a stout which is fine by me. I prefer sweeter over dryer.
