This beer is aged for at least 4 weeks in bourbon barrels from A. Smith Bowman in Fredericksburg, VA. Each batch will vary slightly.
The base beer is a Scottish Wee Heavy at 7.5% ABV. The Malty base is prominent and is complemented with the bourbon aromas, the taste is augmented with vanilla and caramel from the wood, balanced by the oak tannins producing a beer with good structure and nose that pairs very well with meat.
