Ten Pin Brewing Co.

I visited Ten Pin while driving through the state a couple weeks ago. The other commenters here have it spot on -- it's not like any other brewery taproom I've seen outside of Las Vegas. It looks like a sports bar inside a casino, but the brew equipment is visible from the taproom and they're clearly making beer there. My bartender was pretty knowledgeable about the beer, too, which was frankly a little bit of a surprise considering the look of the place.

They had 9 beers on tap when I visited, and I had a sampler tray. Their sampler tray is a thing to behold: 6 10-oz pours laid out like bowling pins. The beers were pretty good; interestingly, they had two different altbiers on tap. You don't see that everyday!

Came here with my wife and kids for lunch on our way home from a night out camping.

This is the strangest "brewpub" or "taproom" I've ever visited. It has a very particular vibe: Off-strip Vegas dive casino buffet. Yes, there's a casino. There's also a bowling alley and an arcade and a restaurant.

The beer was actually good, and they had a pretty decent tap list. I had a single hop Waimea IPA and an imperial IPA. I also tasted a single hop Equinox IPA. My wife had a very pink hibiscus gose (nicely tart, not too salty).

Service was OK, a little spotty. Food was bad to OK (chili burger with full-on Hormel chili and a very standard bacon cheeseburger).

Weird vibe here, as it was also a casino and bowling alley, and had that dark atmosphere. Minimal brews on tap, of varying quality. Good happy hour pricing, however. Lots of bar staff kept asking how we were doing.

 

 

The beer is definitely top notch. All of the beer brewed is within guidelines and meets high standards.
Although this is a new brewery, it shows that they mean business entering the craft beer arena.
I can not wait to try whatever else they feature next.
