Consumed at the brewery on February 9th, 2014.
Beer is a pale pink with a wisp of light pink foam.
Aroma is sour with slight cheese overtones with lots of berry notes.
Flavor is tart! Berry flavors (raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, according to the brewer's notes). More sweet than sour.
Mouthfeel is thin and a little fizzy.
Overall, it's a decent enough Berliner weisse with perhaps a little too much berry and fizz? But never having been to Germany and had an authentically served version, I can't really be sure.
Not really my bag, but not bad.
