Pours a jet black with a creamy head. Aromas and flavors are a delicate balance between smooth chocolates, hints of vanilla and cream, coffee roast, and oatmeal pancakes. Smooth smooth smooth. Creamy mouthfeel. Excellent example of style and it is maybe even better on nitro.

This Stout is amazing to begin with, but when it's on nitro, it tops the charts!

On tap at Institution Ale Company in Camarillo, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, coffee bean, brewed coffee, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa, brewed coffee, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast and wood bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and smooth mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a great coffee forward aroma and lots of tasty flavors.

Served at the source. This is an oak aged Oatmeal Stout infused with Beacon Coffee, a local coffee company based in Ventura.
A: Pours black with a solid 1-inch thick tan head which slowly fades to a thin cap and rim leaving splotchy lace.
N: Freshly roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cream.
T: Smooth roasted coffee with a trace of bitterness balanced by roasted malts and mildly sweet chocolate. Faint oaky notes. Well integrated.
M: Full body and medium carbonation. Silky and creamy, rich coffee finish.
O: Really enjoyable. Nice solid stout. Would like to see this aged in a bourbon barrel one day.
