Incredible aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, everything from mango to pineapple to guava to apricot and peaches, intense resiny hop bitterness. Actually gives Stone's RuinTen triple IPA a run for its money. Delicious! Well done Institution.

Thanks to Sisky for sharing this one at Oneinchaway's tasting.
Pours a clear golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp but sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice citrus forward hop characteristics all around this make this one tasty and easy to drink.
Serving type: growler.

Growler purchased from tap room 02/05
Look - Pretty, clear golden honey. Small bit of a head, with almost not retention. No lacing. 3 paws.
Smell - Sweet and fruity with dank undertones. Honey, malt, passion fruit, guava, melon, strawberry, the more I smell, the more I like. 4.5 paws.
Taste - The dank characteristics are much more prominent than on the nose, the strawberry comes through as well. The alcohol is a bit too noticeable, but at 11.6% that's to be expected. Very bitter finish. 3.5 paws.
Feel - Somewhat syrupy, tingle on the front and side of tongue. 4 paws.
Overall - The alcohol is way too hot and the finish is a little too bitter (although this is the first beer I've had in over two weeks, so my lupulin threshold may be low at the moment.) The tropical fruit and dank hop characteristics are quite delicious however. Overall it's a very enjoyable beer, just wish the alcohol was more subdued (side note: beware if you are purchasing a growler, no posted price, but it's $30/growler fill). 3.75 paws.
