On cask at Institution Ale Company in Camarillo, CA.
Pours a hazy crimson-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of coffee bean, brewed coffee, and cocoa powder aromas. Taste is much the same with brewed coffee and mocha flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with excellent mocha characteristics all around.
