Appearance: Two fingers of head that lasted and laced like crazy complimenting the whirlwind of carbonation in the bottle during the pour that just keeps pumping out the suds. The body is a cloudy translucent bronze that turns brassy gold when held up to the light. This is perfection, I don't know how one could improve it.

Smell: Grassy hops are forward on the nose, but not overpowering with maybe a hint of floral notes. The background seems to offer a slight bit of biscuit malt. It did need warming to come out and the potency could be stronger, but it's still solid stuff.

Taste: Biscuit malt with light grass hops, which leads to the malt sweeting to a more caramel note that steps aside as the star of this show is the hops that build into a nice fresh cut grass crescendo with herb, floral and earth notes. What I like about this offering is that the hops despite being very forward, never get out of control and just smack you with a excessively bitter hit. That said, it is a bit mild and it's very clear the hops are doing most of the lifting here, but it's a great experience.

Mouthfeel: The carbonation here is exceptional, it manages to come across both as sudsy and helps highlight the beer. The transitioning is great as well as it eases into the hops and builds nicely, but that said, it's not exactly a long evolution here. Aftertaste is incredibly clean with only the barest hop cling which just seems like something should be here. That said, this beer excels here.

Drinkability: Certainly more on the lighter side of medium body, but easy to drink, refreshing, interesting which plenty of hop character that doesn't get out of hand. Settles down very well, even despite the very high carbonation and overall something you could enjoy at any time.

Final Thoughts: I much prefer wet hop IPAs and Pale ales, as this one is. They just never get out of hand with the hops while showcasing an awesome variety. This offering strikes me as a masterpiece with a few pieces missing, as the lack of aftertaste and something more to extend this beer, and a bit more potency in the nose are the only things I could suggest to improve this one. This is a great beer, for all seasons despite it being a seasonal offering, and even better to know it's brewed to support a charity (in this case the Perth & District Community Foundation). I can't recommend it enough.
