Interesting hybrid here, with both the Brut IPA base and grapes coming through nicely. I've had Feints before on it's own, and it's a very light and fruit forward wine, falling somewhere between a light red and darker rosé.
Opaque light purplish pink color with a finger of foam. Served on tap from a jockey box, it was pretty cold and they recommended letting it warm up, which I did.
Lightly fruity aroma and taste, strawberry, raspberry, pepper and yeast esters. Crisp dry feel, mellow bitterness and lingering aftertaste of dried red fruit and pepperiness. Ample carbonation, smooth and medium bodied, light on the palate.
A refreshing change of pace at Third Coast Soif, an excellent natural wine event.
