Bought at their restaurant/taproom. I pretty much always like what Middle Brow is trying to do with their brews (this is my 11th unique.) In fact, I wish they would focus more on brewing. But part of their farm-to-table mission is to work closely with producers. And this one is Sugar Creek malters across the border in Indiana. Some bloody butcher corn (what ever that is) is thrown into this saison's malt bill along with, I presume, a modest souring agent ... and a creative brew is born.
I give high marks for Looks as there is a light red tinge and largely ignore that the yeast is not producing enough swirls or foam. Because of the yeast, Smells probably are less distinct, average. But Tastes are complete: balanced, modestly tart, but not sour on my malt-loving buds. Light-bodied with a drying sensation that invited a dry cheese washed in balsamic. Yum. Tart and dry finish.
Keep experimenting !
