On tap at Thirsty Turtle. Pours black with brown head. Full crisp body. Aroma and taste is of toasted malt, herbal hops, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, brown sugar. Long dry finish. Delicious.

This was poured into an English pint glass. The appearance was a dusty dark looking brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Subtle glossy lace running here and there. The aroma had some sweet to roasty coffee bean flowing over some sweet milk chocolate and then touched by some vanilla sweetness. The flavor pocketed the sweetness from some vanilla, chocolate and cream tightly breaking over some roasted coffee notes. Lingering balanced roasty to sweet aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt as projected by the brewer, mostly. Overall, nicely balanced sweet stout that isn’t overly sweet as many as I often find. If I lived closer to this brewery, I’d want more of this.

9/13....pours dark brown, almost black. Low foam. Heavy hearty coffee nose, hard to tell it is even a beer. Strong coffee flavor, gritty bitter, espresso back. Some chocolate. Quite hearty.

Really good offering! Just the right amount of coffee with a nice malty roastiness as well. Avoids the overly thin mouth feel of many single stouts as well. One of my favorites from Angry Erik's yet.

Very impressed. Chocolate, roasty. Could use a bit more body though. But very drinkable.

Bracing stout with coffee and chocolate notes - Conducive to plowing through paperwork on a Saturday afternoon!
