DATE: June 17, 2017... OCCASION: Post-graduation celebration with some staff... GLASSWARE: Miller pint... served at Bell's mansion, it arrived with a clear, light golden body... head is off-white and ringing quickly... aroma is lemon zest with light hoppiness and some flowery fragrance... body is oily, thin and smooth... refreshing, if not light... leaves little in the aftertaste.... the fact the Well Sweep Herb Farm supplied the central herb in this beer is huge, but the brew pervades only this one dimension... refreshing on a warm day such as this, and one worth toasting a school year to, but not one of AE's better offerings...

9/13...brewery draft. Pours cloudy yellow with white foam. Floral meadow nose, very soft. Herbal lemon citrus and a forward pushing bitter. Slightly peppery. Really flavorful bitter, tarty, tasty and rinds.

This one seems like a flop to me. Pours a nice looking golden straw color with a barely off-white head. Says its brewed with lemon verbena and New Zealand hops. I get the lemon and I'm fighting to taste those bright, fruity NZ hops. I guess they're there. Gotta look for them though. All I get is ginger. And lots of it.
Overall, it's not a bad beer. Easy to drink. Not (that) offensive. But this intense ginger I'm getting is just strange.
