DATE: November 13, 2021... OCCASION: Watching Cavs/Celtics with a beer to warm up with... GLASSWARE: Samuel Smith tulip pint... pours a jet-black body with a crackling light brown head that remains two-fingered long after it sits...rich chocolate, vanilla, light coffee bean, peat and vegetable as well... some hoppiness is detectable... the first sip is frothy like a latte, imparting a medium-bodied heft that makes this chewy, gratifying to let sit on the tongue... its finish coats like chocolate milk, lactic and filling, with no affecting aftertaste... cocoa, coffee bean, and vanilla milk build a worthwhile profile that stays pretty true to its genre... its weight is appreciable but not noticeable... another quality Angry Erik product...

Solid black appearance.
Light carbonation, around a medium body . Overall a very decent body
Aroma is tobacco, leather, malt, roasted malt, molasses, dark buckwheat honey.
Taste is leather and tobacco foremost, very dark chocolate, roasted malt, very dry.
Overall its an intense well done beer that is definitely not a knock a few back type of beer. I would look for this again

Really liked the presence of the dark chocolate here. Just wish it had a slightly heavier mouth feel. Good coffee presence too. One of the best non imperial stouts I've had, and the silkyness of the chocolate is a serious game changer.
