DATE: April 22, 2018... OCCASION: Cavs down 2-1 to the Pacers in Round One--must win, yes... GLASSWARE: Wychwood tall pint... pours a sallow gold body, bubbling like champagne with beads stringing to create a cluster of off-white foam... fresh from the growler, but looks a bit like a macro lite... speaking of light, the aroma is slightly sweet, floral, pepper, banana, bubblegum, and crisp biscuit malts--a bit more to smell than to look at... the mouthfeel is refreshing, light-bodied, and highly drinkable... not much to speak of otherwise... the ABV marries well to the flavor profile... its strongest attribute in that regard is the bubblegum; second is the banana... lacking the intention to empower, the oats and butter smooth out the finish, making this close to a rinser, but not as heinous as that sounds... the zestiness in its finish refreshes like Sprite... one that pairs well with watching sports on a slightly warmer-than-usual spring night...
