Alpha-Hop City #2: This IPA is named by the first letter of the hops it is brewed with: Simcoe, Azacca & Loral. Juicy aromas & flavors of peach, citrus and soft melon surround an underlying bitterness that won't let you forget it's an IPA.

DATE: June 27, 2019... OCCASION: first beer rating done at my in-laws...the sale of 2 Queen Anne Lane is official--blessings to the Hirsch family... GLASSWARE: nondescript pokal... pours an attractive orange amber body that supports a single finger of off-white head that crags and foams with consistency... an hours-old growler provides a fresh flourish of effervescence... juicy watermelon, orange peel, peach, flower petals, some musky earth, and a bit of herb... this sips with a relative smoothness, churning its bite softly at the throat with a body worth chewing... its ABV lies well hidden, peaceful yet appreciable... frothy too, at its finish, endearing it to its next draft... lemon, orange, watermelon, allspice, cilantro, and a resinous draw that makes this a great summer refresher... much lighter than the average IPA, especially at 7.3 ABV...the Simcoe gives it the dual earthy/fruity citizenship, while the Azacca creates a complex, flexible hop experience... this was a nice find at Liquor Factory, one I feel sates the thirst created by a 22-2 loss in 88 degrees of heat.. this is a quality IPA that appeals to the citric palate, even if it is a one-off...
