I wouldn’t have bought this beer had I known it was dry hopped with Simcoe hops.
On one hand, it tastes nothing like an English bitter… citrusy American hop aroma and harsh bitterness overpower all else. Very little spice, or flavours of toffee/marmalade/brown sugar often associated with the ESB style.
On the other hand, if rebranded as an American pale ale, its not an awful beer. Its still more balanced than most modern pale ales/IPAs and has a great cloudy, amber appearance and thick feel.
