WOW this is an excellent beer. Pours golden with white head Nose seems sweet, but taste has a resinous bitterness to it that calms the 'too sweet' fears I had. Nice lacing.

Pours a cloudy golden-amber color with a stable, bigger head.

Smells of fruit cake, caramel malts, blueberries and watermelon. Brings passion fruit, as well as wet grass to the nose, once the aromas open up, making this an action painting for the nose.

Drinks smooth and soft with a supportive level of carbonation, which makes the lighter bodied beer very refreshing.

Tastes of dried orange zest, toffee, leaves, lime pulp and fresh cut passion fruit, its an explosion on the tongue. This gets followed up by balancing toffee malts, adding very well to the fruity flavors, while establishing a convincing counterpart to the uprising, lemon defined bitterness. Finishes with a clean and merciless hop blow, which leaves space for balancing malts and a lot of prevailing fruit, herb and grass nuances, coming from the mosaic hops.

What a great and flawless use of mosaic. This has a huge hop impact, which stalks up carefully at the beginning and unfolds even more powerful once it got to you. Its flavor diversity gets a clean and well working backbone by using a simple old school, yet effective and detectable malt foundation.

Huh. What's with volume one vs two? You barely can see it on the bottle. Maybe they publicize it somewhere. While this is a great AIPA, I'm not sure what niche it was trying to fill.

It pours clear and deep yellow with some nice fizz. The aroma is very nice, pungent and just slightly skunky. The taste is a nice mix of hops along with enough malts to keep things sweet. It taste exactly like it's size. It is very easy drinking (my kind of big session brew). Just slightly creamy and just slightly skunky. It's a month old but tastes good - perhaps it was more amazing when fresher.

Recommended, but if it is a one time thing, what's the point of the recommendation!

Bottled 7-17-18. CBF pint.

A: pours a crystal clear brassy gold with one finger off-white frothy Head. Streaming carbonation. Epic lacing. This is from CBC, duh.

S: fresh out of the fridge it is bready sweet, honeyed, with loads of tropical mango and papaya. Really the papaya smell reminds me of the stuff I used to put in smoothies years ago. As it warms I get a floral note reminiscent of Alpha King and 5AM Saint.

T: palate mirrors the smell identically, with a pretty mild bitterness at the end and only a little lingering vague citrus pith.

M: solidly medium, frothy ale texture, clean finishing.

O: this tastes like Bodhi’s more drinkable (is that possible?) little brother. At 7.4% this is way more approachable and could be habit-forming. Go try it, you won’t be disappointed. Will compare to vol. 2 later.

Clear yellow-orange color. 2 fingers of white fluffy head, lacing for days. Straight up Mosaic bomb. Beautifully balanced, well crafted and just delicious. If this makes it into their regular line up I am in big financial trouble.

Bottled on 7/17/18

Pours a clear deep golden orange with a thick, frothy white head that leaves great amounts of sticky lacing.

Aromas of dank pine balanced with smooth, almost sweet grapefruit; layers of prickly hops start giving way to floral sweetness; I'm getting really great notes of thick, bready malt, as well.

Tastes of pine and some prickly, herbal hops; some grapefruit and papaya mix really nicely with bready malts at the finish once more.

Mouthfeel carries a smooth but pleasantly noticeable carbonation; very clean throughout, which, combined with its brighter, refreshing aspects, makes for an incredibly effortless drink on the palate.

Bright, refreshing, and incredibly smooth; great flavor profile that I only wish was a bit more pronounced, but otherwise, this is a very good beer.
