for all the railing i do against generic beers and breweries that seem to only do generic styles all the time, its always nice to have a beer like this remind me to call out the good ones. nothing about this sets apart in any way from the tens of thousands of others that exist in the world, similar recipe, similar process, its just better quality than a vast majority of them, plain and simple. it has all the elements, a nice dry fuller bodied red grain base, an interesting but mild old world ale yeast strain, just enough caramelization, grassy hops, and carbonation to taste and feel about exactly right for a style like this. part of me wonders how many people drink american craft irish style reds, like, this seems inherently unpopular to me, i know i often overlook the style because its never all that interesting to me. in this case, the generic and common has become something quite remarkable, if only for the simple fact that its a better version of something i have tasted a million times. if you are looking for a quality dry irish red in the denver area, look no further (but im curious if anyone is actually looking for that)...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
