a gorgeous nitro brown porter with some nice roast, smoothness, and nuance. the rye makes a big impact, its spicy and earthy and deep for its somewhat paler color, way more flavorful, grounded, and dry than a lot of these, and a beer i want to drink a ton of, love how its not sweet at all. the locally roasted coffee is a nice addition, its strong in the aroma and flavor mix, but it belongs here with this grain profile. there are notes of maple and walnut and medium cocoa to this, its complex in a lovely way, and the coffee holds though the finish, awesome mix of flavors and a well thought out beer overall, its like the coffee and the rye combine to make this way more unique than any normal porter, but it remains as drinkable as any for me, i cant set the glass down. the crew in here is always so stoked, and i love that energy when i drink their beer, but this is as good and drinkable as any porter out there right now, amazing balance and quality. the rye persists right along with the java, and this has a chocolate dipped vibe, some caramel too, and a defined richness without its volume capacity being compromised. i love what this is, i stand for it, and im a huge fan, among the best beers these guys have made to date as far as i am concerned...
