Brett Saison
Brewed with flaked rye and wheat. A rustic, estery yeast character is capped off by a secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces, and a healthy Mandarina Bavaria dry-hop ties it all together. Soft orange hop tones and a gentle rye spice prevail with funky, fruity, and earthy flavors continually developing.
This ale is ready to be enjoyed now or, like the illusory tales from the mill, will become more complex over time.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace. The aroma had some lemon pulp and rind, light leather, earthiness, grassiness, some banana, vinous must, light funk and a little bit of floral hop tones. The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample amount of funk, earthiness and grassiness. Subtle white pepper slid in underneath. Aftertaste was funky and grassy. Finish was the same. The palate was almost medium bodied with a fairly good sessionable sort of feel to it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good saison, if you like the funkier ones.

Pours hazy orange with white fluffy head. Reserved aroma of horse blanket, floral, wheat, apple, and pear. Tastes of grass, horse blanket, wheat, boozy pears and apple skins, pine, lemon, and hop bitterness. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Bottle shared by someone tonight, thanks!
Slightly hazy deep yellow with a decent off white head. Earthy spicy with some bready maltiness to back it up. Not bad.

Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a cloudy, darker golden color. There was some white head on it and it left some lacing. It has a nice nose. Rye, wheat and a touch of brett. The taste is good. Just a touch sour. Rye and wheat notes. Some spiciness. Nice.

A hazy gold color with a thick white head that lingered.
Spicy, earthy, fruity aroma.
Spicy rye, a little funk, and some orange.
A subtle saison, very well done.
