This was yet another beer that I picked up from Greenpoint and took a while to get around to. The description on the can was humorous but thankfully, I haven't lost my hearing at my age! If I had, I wouldn't be able to feel the spice and pith that were packed in this beer, as the flavor profile was quite odd and up-front. That hasn't been the case with their other beers but this was a bit different from the get-go...
Interesting pour to this as the liquid was a shade of apricot bordering on resin, with lots of bubbles in the liquid. That could be because of the warm day we had here as my basement got a bit hotter than I would have liked! A good amount of thin, web-like head topped this off as there was hardly any lacing to be seen down the side of my Teku glass once I sipped this. Pepper, dank hops, resin, tropical fruits, and citrus pith filled the nose as there even more of those in the taste. Dry, spicy, and strong, this packed a punch and left me wanting water to chase it down it. Lots of hop oils in the mouthfeel too as the mouthfeel was quite full and a bit cactus-like when it came to the prickly factor. Took a while to adjust to this beer as it wasn't like anything I had from these guys before!
Plenty of booze in this one as the aftertaste was like of melon or cantaloupe rind. This grew on me as it warmed up but only because of the intrigue factor. One of the ooder beers that I've had lately, I"m not sure I'd have it again but I enjoyed it as a novelty. Not for those expecting the norm of something lush and plush. A beer like this could make your taste buds stand on end!

Cloudy, somewhat murky orange with three slow-forming fingers of off-white head. Heavy, webbed lacing.
Mild peachy tropicality in the nose with some white pepper behind.
Juicy tasting with light citrus and tropical fruit. Pleasant, soft bitterness lingers in the aftertaste, again with a hint of pepperiness.
Medium bodied with nice, pillowy, classic NEIPA feel.
A very solid representation of the substyle here with great bitterness balancing out any sweetness.

From a 16oz can with no date
It is a murky orange gold. Pretty much like a Minute Maid version of orange juice. The off white cap disappeared quickly.
It smells like biting yeast, pungent tropical fruits, and pilsner like grain.
The flavor is spicy/fermented pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and mango with some bitter, resinous green bine taking over at the end. Pretty bitter, aspirin like aftertaste along with some sweet grains. There is actually a sweeter, passion fruit flavor that surfaces as it warms and overtakes the bitter aftertaste
The body is on the lighter side for the ABV and style, but has a slight chewy oats feel. It is crisp from both the yeast bite and carbonation.
A decent take on the old school NE style. Not a current jucie bomb by any means.
