Classic take on the NEIPA. Hopped heavily with Mosaic, Centennial and Simcoe. A reminder why you once drove 12 hours round trip for a car load of double IPA.

Pours a cloudy golden orange color, slightly murky, visible carbonation and with a moderate fluffy foam white head.
Aroma is bursting with hops. Fruity aromas of citrus, papaya, passion fruit and berries. Earthy aromas include a touch of floral, pine and grass.
The taste offers little by way of bitterness at first. Instead, like the aroma, it is teeming with fruity flavors, particularly citrus pith, papaya and passion fruit. The citrus flavor, especially, provides a zesty and slightly acidic twang like freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruit pulp and lemon peel. However, as the earthy hops flavors open up, a very subtle bitterness creeps in and provides the right touch. The gentle prickle of pine needles, peppery spice and soft floral notes add complexity and balance to the mid palate. The malt backbone is firm, doughy and sweet.
Medium bodied, moderate to strongly carbonated, and more crisp than frothy as compared to other NEIPAs. The citrus zest adds a gentle sting to the mouthfeel. Finish is malty, almost creamy, semi dry and slightly resiny.
I liked this NEIPA because it had some, albeit small, bitterness and crispness.

A: The beer is cloudy yellow in color and has some hints of amber hues. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down but never completely faded away and also left some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose, including mangos, oranges, and passionfruit.
T: The taste has flavors of mango and passionfruit. Little, if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked this New England-style IPA as it had lots of hop aromas and flavors without any bitterness. It is also quite drinkable for an Imperial IPA.

I have a mild cold so take this with a grain of salt.
L - drank from the can, nice looking can
S - pungent, tropical
T - huge passion fruit, some peach, not too much malt character, medium sweetness, pine on the finish but not in an especially bitter way
F - thick, almost syrupy, medium minus carbonation, no burn
O - yum! my favorite from greenpoint so far (but didn't get to try 'em all)
they haven't released the details yet but it tastes like maybe rakau or something?
