On tap at Song Hill Winery in Victor, NY.
This one pours a very dark brown, almost black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt and smoke, and some light chocolate.
Like most Twin Elder beers, this is a back lacking, as it’s quite thin, with a a malt character that just falls off on the back end. It’s got some OK roast, but a smokey astringency and no real sweetness to it.
This is light bodied and very thin, with a decent enough drinkability.
This isn’t atrocious in any way but it’s essentially homebrew level.
