Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy orange with a one inch white head that leaves behind a little bit of lace.
Smell is apricot, tangerine, guava, pinapple, lemon, and grapefruit rind.
Taste follows apricot, guava, pinapple, and a very bitter and aggressive shot of grapefruit in the long lingering finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, moderate amount of life, a tad dry for sure, and drinks easy if you are into grapefruit bitterness.
Overall this is a very nice IPA, but just as much West Coast as East Coast, thing has some serious classic West Coast bitterness.

16oz can served in a large snifter. I don't see a date on it anywhere. Can lists 7.3% ABV, different than the listing's 6.75%. Given to me by @mr-jj.
Pours moderately hazy light amber color with a small head and lots of fine carbonation. Smell is juicy and wet greens.
Taste is light on the "juicy", but I do get some mango (though not too sweet). Has a lot of bitter flavor, but a little out of character for most hoppy beers I've had lately. I think it's what I'd characterize as dank.
Mouthfeel is fairly thick, but fairly still. Overall, it's a solid beer.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Body is orangey-amber with a small off-white head.
S: Sweet oranges - think orange floor cleaner - orange peel, lemon peel and a hint of pine. Interesting and not at all unpleasant.
T: Follows the nose, with caramel malt sweeter foundation, which is followed by orange peel, grapefruit and grapefruit peel. Hint of pine needles provide lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Touch of heat from the ABV lingers as a drying sensation in the aftertaste.
M: A bit juicy; also chalky at times. Call it medium in heft, carbonation is light, making it a bit slick.
O: Solid.

L: Poured from a 16oz. can into a pint glass. Thin head which disappeared toot sweet. 90% clear with a touch of haze, golden amber in color with a good single stream of carbonation coming up from the bottom of the glass.
S: Juicy fruit aromas up-front mix with maltiness and tart alcoholic notes. Not much hop dryness, but lots of hop aroma with citrus, tropical fruit, and some pine thrown in.
T: Bright, a but tart, hoppy with a dry back-end. Good flavors all-around, if a bit unbalanced; favoring the booziness and malt a touch over the dry hoppiness. Similar notes as on the nose, with the addition of a bit more alcohol esters.
M: Fizzy (almost like a cider) at first, with a pretty chewy mouthfeel at the end. Perfectly acceptable for a bigger IPA.
O: Good beer, and it would certainly get me to check out more of Gun Hill's brews, but I wouldn't go out of my way for his particular one. It's a bit out-of balance, and for only 7.3% abv it should hide the alcohol a bit better in my opinion.
