Taster at FLoT. Golden pour, light cloudiness, wispy head, lacing. Hoppy aroma, light piney notes. Taste is citrusy, orange, zesty, hop resin. Oily, sticky.

Tasty but forgettable. Apparently the favorite but it doesn't do it for me as an IPA. Not explosive as the namesake but hey can't knock them for trying.

12/22/15 at the brewery
This one is a dark gold color, mostly clear but for a touch of chill haze in the pour. The head is an off-white one that manages about half a finger, shows some resilience, and leaves pretty good lacing behind.
Tropical and citrus fruit notes take the lead here, offering a juiciness iall the way through the aroma and flavor. Malts balance, mostly on the dryer side. The aroma offers a little more all the way around than the flavor, which does bring it but falls off in the end.
The body is medium, semi-dry from the middle to the end after a punchy beginning. There's a little bit of a metallic undertone to it that builds up a sort of tingle, but it holds up with a strong crispness and balancing smoothness.

an extremely fresh, drinkable, and juicy ipa here, and aside from the coffee stout, it was my favorite beer pouring during my visit to eastwood. four hop varietals, but I don't know what they are, likely northwestern C types with this name, but it seems almost too tropical for that, not real bitter, great craftsmanship. very light and mild grain base, especially for the alcohol here, most of the texture of the beer seems to come from the oil in the hops, not from the weight of the malt. lemon, green apple, passion fruit, there is quite the cocktail of smells and flavors from the hops, I think a little more lively in nose than taste, but it doesn't fall off too much. escalating bitterness throughout, but still only moderate in this department by the finish. made to feel quite light by the effervescent carbonation that's popping it off. real enjoyable brew, makes winter feel like summer here in Syracuse, even though these temperatures in the 60s are helping with that rather effectively as well this year. I have to go back for the imperial!
