I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at WABL Belgianfest 2015.
Appearance: very hazy light-straw hue with a nice layer of ivory foam. A nice, cloudy saison!
Smell: lightly funky aroma with a little bit of green grassiness. Not overly complicated, but a well-crafted and stylistically appropriate bouquet.
Taste: quite malty, but relatively light in flavor; there's a pretty evident graininess along with that grassiness from the aroma. It's also got a quite nice farmhouse funk; I dig it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a good creaminess. It works for me!
Overall: this is a pretty standard saison from a palette standpoint, but it's very well-crafted and enjoyable.

Pours a lovely golden amber with plenty of swirling foam in the Kasteel chalice. Hints of pumpkin and caraway in the aroma. Spritzy mouthfeel but not overly carbonated.
The malt is plentiful, and provides some body, but the beer is not at all sweet. Warm and grainy taste with some bready malt and a bitterish finish. The yeasty flavors are up front, but provide the right edge. Some You might wish for a little more sweetness, but it's a clean and tangy Saison true to the style.
Highly drinkable in a comfortable style with just a touch of the funk and that yeasty bitterness. From the big jug filled at the brewery in the South Park area of Seattle.
