a blonde pale ale with oats, a nice beer from a brewery with a terrible name! golden and clear from the tap, a nice inch of white head on top of it, and lots of carbonation evident. the aroma is solid, mildly hoppy for a pale, especially hoppy for a blonde, depending on how we look at this one, light citrus, soft floral notes, and very moderate bitterness as they go. the flavor is cool, the oats have a nice earthy richness to them, and it enhances the pale barley quite a lot, which is also true in the mouthfeel, which this is made to be a little frothier than most with the oats in it. none of it is very drastic though, and this is on the whole a four season drinker that should appeal to basically anyone who likes beer. its well made and just different enough to be intriguing, while staying fully approachable. that was kind of the vibe i got from the several beers i had from these guys, technically very solid with slight variations on classic styles. the oats are cool in this one, and it straddles the line between pale and blonde pretty well.
