Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Broken Bow Brewery sonic glass; no production information.
A: Pours a hazy golden color with a slightly pink caste, a frothy, white, short-lived one finger head, modest retention, and subtle rings of lacing
S: The nose takes time to settle. Quite a bit of barley and pepper, at first, giving way to more lemon.
T: Semidry. Palate very bitter at first, but settles into more grass and lemon. Less bitter over time, but too bitter overall.
M: Medium bodied and quite astringent.
O: I have not idea what a Mexican Lager is supposed to be. I associate it with Vienna Lager and this is not that. Guessing this is not "lagered" enough, but that's often true of small brewery lager efforts.

Notes via stream of consciousness: Very light in color, a light straw gold. Beautiful fluffy head of bright white. Unfortunately it's hazy which is distracting for the style. There's clean, slightly grainy and sweet malt in the aroma with just a touch of fruitiness from the yeast and some very distant hops. Wow, it's got a little bit of a tartness to it. It's not much, but there's more to it than a Corona Extra for sure. Then you get the malt, apple and mildly strawberry-like fruitiness, and stronger hops that are mildly herbal and grassy. It's stiffly bitter with a dry finish and bitterness lingering. It's light to light-medium in body and crisp in the mouth. The head has dropped to a collar by now but it held up quite well at the beginning and left some very nice rings of spotty lace. It's a shame it's hazy. I like it. I'm still not really sure of what to make of the acidity but it is refreshing.

A:The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of grassy/floral hops and corn are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but is a little maltier having associated bits of sweetness fro the malts and other flavors of pilsner malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and would make for a nice lawnmower beer or a lager to throw in your cooler for a trip to the beach.

Cloudy with a tall white head. Cloudy straw. Lots of lace.

Lots of pilsner and light malt. Mild sweetness. Light floral hops.

Sweet front with light dinner rolls. Lots of grain body. A bit of soap. Mild hop bitterness with a clean short dry finish.

Light crisp body with full carbonation. Quenching and refreshing.

A superb session lager. One of my favorites. The low abv, great taste and superior drinkability make this one a standout beer.
