this is kind of bad, or at least not very good. on tap down in colorado springs. i am surprised these guys havent dialed in their beer a little better before trying to take over tap handles all over the state. business first i guess. a real turn off though, at least for me. this has amateur written all over it. barley hazy very lightly pink, and real bubbly, looks more like raspberry ginger ale in my glass than a beer. smells okay, not sure what wildberry means. apparently an extract of some kind? its dosed light enough to not really have much aroma or taste, just a mild generic fruity sweetness, but it doesnt contribute a whole lot. the yeast is my problem, it tastes like a wit strain fermented too warm. i think saison is the latest word to be bastardized by craft beer trends. calling a beer that has some wheat and a yeast other than a california ale does not make it a saison, and thats a real frustration lately. its dish soapy and off in the finish, acrid a little, and a little sweet too. i could not drink very much of this. seems like the marketing is better than the beer so far with declaration, or if they have a hit, i havent tasted it yet...
