this is a rad beer, a very light bright lager, brewed with honeydew melon. its as good as it sounds, delicate and flavorful and sessionable and fully sessionable, i thought this was maybe the best beer we had in here on our recent visit, and the natural, slightly sweet honeydew character really makes it. the thing is though, the base lager, as simple and basic as it is, is quite well done. it has some light pale barley and pils type maltiness to it, very minimal of course, and a dry, complete, and patient lager character as well, crackery and real drinkable on its own, but the addition of the melon is incredible. its got that mild watery honey sort of sweetness, true to the actual melon, fleshy and sort of bitter rindy too in the place where hops might be, it comes on at the exact right moment and stays as long as its welcome, still drying out in the finish. the carbonation sags just a little, but its still so insanely light that its really appealing. they did a fantastic job with this, top notch lager thats one of a kind! i want another one right now...
