by a lot of measures this isnt a great beer, but it sure is a crusher, and its hard not to find it pretty appealing on a hot friday afternoon on their patio after a long work week. it is as light as it gets, not a trace of color from the fruit, almost like a watered down coors light if thats even possible, barley there shade of yellow, short white head that has nothing to rest on so it dissipates fast, but the beer is energetically carbonated and looks fine in this refreshment conext. aroma is pretty strongly fruity which is weird for the color, but its sweet and not all the way natural to me, i am immediately skeptical that they used real fruit here, but again, in this context, that doesnt bother me much and a fruity light lager still smells good. the flavor is the same, somewhat extracty, candied, or even syrupy on the raspberry and really robust, not natural to me, but it still tastes good in a raspberry gummy kind of way, good but not like the fruit in nature tastes. even though its a little sweet here, it finishes on the dry side even with a little fruity linger, and it still feels and tastes like a lager, the yeast not covered up at all by any grain, light as it is, so its style is obvious and there is some element of crispness to this. good carbonation helps a lot too, and while there is no way they used real fruit and there is no way i want more than one of these, as a quick sunny patio wind down refresher it did me right, thats all im saying...
