Had on tap at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
On arrival 1 finger of fine white head sat atop a hazy light amber to bronze body. Webby lacing is left.
Aroma is somewhere in the middle of a belgian blonde and a hefeweizen with yeast taking the lead here, but staying sweet, fruity, and spicy. Vanilla and clove are present with a hint of banana and earthy notes.
The taste follows the aroma but brings even more dessert sweet yeast flavor with caramel malt and banana coming together to make an almost fried banana flavor with bit of vanilla as well. The finish is malty with a light hop bitterness.
The feel is dry but full with an immediate impression. Of a light refreshing beer with a full longeralty finish. Carbonation is medium.
Overall thus is a very interesting beer. I can't tell if wheat was used, but it wouldn't surprise me. Very nice, amd slightly reminiscent of a hefeweizen or paler dunkelweizen.
