Poured form the 16 oz can. Canned date penned on the bottom 11/30/21
Pours a brilliant amber tinged gold. Fluffy white cap asserts 2 fingers, slowly retreats, and leaves a thin, fairly dense cap. White ring leaves a bounty of lacing. Slightly darker than expected for style, but gorgeous.
Nose is a subtle ride of citrus, grass, pine resin, onion, a little weed, a hint of malt, and some fruity berry notes.
Pretty nice aromas for an IPA popped more than 3 months later.
Flavor is more malt forward, lightly sweet with a mild drying bitterness. The hop notes from the nose are barely discernible. Slight hints of dank resin, orange rind, and a most subtle pepper kiss come in. As it warms, it gets better.
Mouthfeel is medium, low carbonation, slightly dry on the finish.
Overall, I feel like I missed out on some of the better attributes that I'm guessing were in this beer a month or more ago. Would love to try it on tap, or a fresher can, to give it a fair shot. Will seek it out again.
