On-tap at the source, on to the beer:
Dark red colored and looking like it received a toasted accent, this Irish Red is crowned with a short head above. I am taken into the aroma, with brings to my nose a pleasurable mix of kilned malts, pleasing esters, and sweet caramel. Its flavor is also impressive as well. The malt presence is strong, with kilned malt doing a lot of the work. The fruitiness is also well documented. Its biggest sin is the aftertaste, which wrecks a lot of the good momentum, and is rough and grainy. With a medium/full body, this Irish Red could be a sleeper if its aftertaste were smoothed out.

Pours a clear super dark orange-red with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, nut, and fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, fruit, and nut flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas and flavors for the style.

Dry, crisp, beautiful color and aroma. Tastes like a simple yet proper Irish red.
