For me the opening taste needs to finish with more malt. Nice beer.

Just picked this up at westbrook market. My first time drinking black ipa. The first beer I poured into a pint glass and was expecting a more of a porter taste as it is all black. The second beer I drank from the can to be more unbiased. It has that malt taste you would expect from richer dark beers....but you taste the ipa as well with a hint of citra. Not sure if I like it or not...almost a venture mixed with dark malt. Love how the proceeds go to vets for pets.
