Cran-Orange Jam is a kettle soured ale brewed with lactose and fermented with cranberries and oranges. Tart and effervescent, it pairs wonderfully with the holiday season.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/13/2019. Pours lightly hazy pale golden orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cranberry, oranges, fruit skin/pit, citrus peel/zest, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cranberry, oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate lactose/malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy cranberry, oranges, fruit skin/pit, citrus peel/zest, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light bitter/spiciness on finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cranberry, oranges, fruit skin/pit, citrus peel/zest, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Excellent complexity, robustness, and balance of cranberry, oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate lactose/malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/tangy balance, and no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tang/tartness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited kettle sour! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of cranberry, oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate lactose/malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/tannic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy cranberry, orange, and lacto complexity; with a clean lactose, and pils/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected of the brewery.

16 oz can.
Pours clear pinkish orange. No head retention.
Aroma of cranberry, orange, grapefruit, citric acid, and cracker malts.
Flavor is of tart lemon and orange citrus, mild sweet cranberry, grapefruit, and cracker malts.
Medium body, tingly carbonation.
Decent, easy drinking fruit beer. The sour is balanced by a fruit sweetness so it ends up being pretty mild. Worth a try, wouldn't turn another one down.

Draft at the brewery
Decent fizzy bubbly head fair lacing, mostly clear slight amber reddish color
Nose big tart slight funk, acidity, fair cranberry and orange fruits light bready funk
Taste big cranberry, tart and juicy, then orange kicks in with a touch of bitterness, pils acidity and little bready funk late, touch flemmy
Mouth is med to a little lighter bod, touch flemmy acidity, bright carb
Overall pretty solid, great cranberry and nice orange, not too sour, easy drinking

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice crystal clear faint purple red hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wisps.
S - Big aromas of tart cranberries, bright and fresh, fainter citrus, the finish has a decent yeast wallop.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice almost baking spice like. The cranberry notes are really nice and tart along with some juicy oranges. The finish though is just tons of raw bread dough and grains. Lingering orange peel.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, light. Crisp, not overly flemmy.
O - Overall this was a very solid fruited beer, however, the intense bread dough flavour on the finish really ruins what could be a really aggressively fruity beer.

Pours a watered-down cranberry color, slightly hazy with a one finger fizzy head that settles to a film.
Aroma is a slightly yeasty tart fruit, vaguely that of cranberry and orange - nothing jumps out in terms of distinctive flavor.
Taste is pretty tart up front with a light and refreshing cranberry flavor with background notes of orange. This is a pretty well-balanced flavor profile that works great with the moderate sourness. A light sweetness comes out in the mid-taste that rounds off the tartness well and, importantly, does not give it any heaviness. Any sense of grain is lost in this one. Finishes same as it starts really.
Feel is crisp and light with a lingering stickiness in the mouth, kind of like apple juice does.
This is a really refreshing fruit ale that meets my sensibilities well. I have not been a huge fan of Foundation in the past with their ales so this one may give me reason to stop by once in a while. This would make a great summer drink IMO - not sure when they plan to be releasing it though.

A- Tallboy pours a diluted cran-red to pink body into a tulip. The head is silky and with a creamy consistency. The head makes it to an inch high with good retention and leaves thin sheets of lacing along with some small webs as well.
S- The cran and orange are not as strong as I expected based on Foundation's previous jam releases but they are there at light-medium strength alongside a beastly base of lactic acid fermentation, sweet long chain fruity sugars/pulp and whole grains. Definitely comes off as a tart jam in the aroma.
T- The cranberries seem to come off stronger in the taste but the oranges drop off a bit but still are definitely 100% there with a pulpy, sweet orange zesty flavor. The cranberries bring some signature tartness and that great flavor like fresh berries are known for; a nice berry bitterness as well. A touch sweet but mostly the lactic acid flavor from the little bugs akin to a very tart yogurt. A whole orange flavor comes out later and really compliments the lactic and berries nicely. Beyond that just some whole grains.
MF- A light body with a silky texture that has a touch of creaminess. The carbonation is at a moderately high level and it all ends rather tart.
Another rather good addition to the jam series that comes off like cranberry juice ale with a bold lactic acid tartness and some supporting fresh orange flavor.
