A super dank and resinous IPA brewed with Columbus and Eureka! A tropical aroma and a long, hoppy finish. All about that bass.

Canned 6/11/2019 ... Poured a hazy yellow with a tropical, mostly lemon zest taste. Although not as "thick" as the NEIPAs I usually enjoy, it is a "sessionable" version of a terrific style, especially on a warm summer night. Unless I'm missing it, the can does not indicate the ABV. My initial impression is that Dreamboat was 7.3%. I read on Foundation Brewing's website that that the ABV is 6.6%, but Beeradvocate says 7.4%. Either way, Dreamboat is worth drinking, especially if you have a liking for dank/grassy beers.

Dream boat
Straw yellow body. Decidedly yellow with nice chunky head on pour that settles into a nice froth.
I get some notes of tangier malt on the nose - a little wheat? - or maybe some Southern Hemisphere hops are lending some grape vine tones. Interesting.
Definitely get that slightly herbaceous and grape skins notes. Soft taste - malt is very important but not overly pronounced. Lends a good straight forward canvass to crazy hops that lend a ton of nuance. Melon, cheddar cheese, and a really pronounced dryness make this a natural accompaniment to a picnic of cheese and sausage.
Mouthfeel is great. Not sure I’d call this super drinkable for more than one. But it is a complex set of flavors that come in hot.
Not a top notch ipa for New England styles, but still pretty good and glad I was able to grab a four pack from the brewery.

From a 16oz can, dated 06/11/19. Served in a Foam-branded cervoise.
Pours a hazy-opaque dull orange with a scant finger of soda-like head. Little retention, just some thin, slippery lacing.
Smell is sweet and grainy with lemon juice and sweet orange. Vaguely reminiscent of a citrus-scented cleaning product.
Taste follows along with the aroma, sweet, thin, watery lemonade and sour grain. Finishes tart almost verging on a rye-kind of sourness.
Feel is slick and slippery, medium-thin bodied with adequate carbonation.
Overall, not entirely dissimilar to Gatorade.

Can from a lazy dog
Hazy dark straw in color with a decent but short lived white head. Earthy grassy lemony aroma with a fain bready maltiness. Chunky gritty mouthfeel mostly earthy grassy flavor. Swing and a miss for me.

From a 16 ounce can dated 03/07/19. Sampled on April 27, 2019.
The color of the pour is an opaque, milky, murky pale golden-yellow with a lingering white foamy head.
The aroma emits sensations of pine and citrus but on a negative note, I also get this kind of perfume character that I cannot define. Also a hint of bread.
The body is medium and a little acidic.
The taste is at first sweet but this odd sort of perfume character plays in here too although not as bad. This is moderately bitter and biting at the finish.

L - pours a calming, hazy flat orange. Coursely-bubbled head that lasts longer than one would expect.
S - pungent, grassy onions. Ultra dank with lime zest and lemon peel. Bready sweetness.
T - same oniony backbone, but with a brighter, melony..er twang. Classic Foundation berry twist and grape candy. A bit of yeasty mealiness and mint without the... minty freshness. Odd. Herbal bubblegum. Loads upon loads of the dank, though.
F - a bit airy, a bit overcarbonated, but hefty enough body to support the flavor. Nice viscosity to it.
O - the Foundation berry flavor does a lot for this beer. Was worried it was going to descend into pure oniony dankness, but tha fruit pulled it out by the maraschino cherry stems. Ended up with a nice, playful balance between pungent zest and bright fruitiness.
