Spiffy is our celebration beer made in honor of Epiphany’s 4th birthday. Affectionately referred to as our “Extra Maine IPA” because of the extra dry hops, Spiffy is a double IPA with the same malt bill and hop varieties as Epiphany. Kicking it up several notches, Spiffy is triple dry hopped with extra Citra and Mosaic hops. Pouring a deep hazy golden yellow, the hop aromatics burst out of the glass with notes of mango, papaya, and pineapple.

16oz undated can.
Pours cloudy gold with a half inch head of white. Moderate retention and lacing. Pungent candied citrus in the nose. Orange, peach, and pear. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Zesty, pithy orange on the palate with minimal malt and a firm bitterness. Finishes fairly dry with enough hops to leave the tongue a bit numb.

Poured into a 13 oz long stem tulip glass canned on 12/21/2020. Pours a hazy orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves scattered lace all over the glass, with excellent retention. 4.5
Aroma lots of tangerine, guava, pineapple, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 4.5
Taste follows for me the tangerine takes center stage, pineapple, guava, apricot, and a little grapefruit in slightly bitter finish. 4.5
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft carbonation, maybe a little sticky but dry, and at 8% ABV it has huge flavor and really engaging. 4.5
Overall this is my favorite DIPA from Foundation Brewing Company. Really a special brew for me. 4.5

What an amazing treat. I am enjoying this at a pizza place in Boston. I don’t know why it’s available here. It’s divine. Great color and tasty. Hoppy. I wish I could post a pic. It’s smooth going down. The hops are tempered in a good way.

Spiffy pours a deep, hazy, golden yellow with a full thick, one finger head depositing some spotty lacing. The smell is juicy citrus with orange and grapefruit as a well pronounced hop flavor. The taste is dank and delicious, if it weren't for the haze, it's a West Coast style DIPA. Big and juicy on the palette with orange and grapefruit.

L - Murky body. Light orange in color.
S - Dank oranges and grapefruit acidity. Great bitter hop juice.
T - More bitterness here and it is delicious. Retains the oranges. Also has good earthy notes and pine.
F - Full, creamy, and smooth
O - Stellar in all aspects.
