Inspired by the lagers of Japan, we used rice to lighten the body and make this ultra-refreshing beer. The crane is known as a symbol of happiness and peace in Japan, and folding one thousand paper cranes is believed to bring luck.

A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Crisp and clean with some grain and rice tendencies up front. Earthy, spicy, and lemony hops in there as well although not very well pronounced
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of earthy and spicy hops and then picks up some grain. Lemony hops come through in the finish
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A solid lager that is nicely lightened by the rice. Very easy to drink. Perfect for warm weather. Worth a drink if you’re into lagers

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice crystal clear golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Big aromas of lightly floral hops and tons of toasted rice.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of slightly sweet malts. Good toasted rice but really sweet.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a rather lackluster beer, really on the sweet side.
