Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Make Rocket Go Now!! Canned September 26th 2019.
Slightly dulled yellow body color, with a bit of haze, that meets to a slightly under three finger bleach white head. Some good retention, but settles at a good pace. Kind of a soapy appearance as well.
Aroma is quite inviting. Spritzy notes of light citrus and an excellent sweet perfume zesty orange oil of hop. Hits with an excellent aromatic that is almost perfume like in the citrus department, and then drops a little tropical pineapple for new age goodness.
Palate sticks to simple and better than good pleasures. A light mouthfeel, but supportive, give a good malt backbone sweetness to let the hops accent and showcase. Juiced up hints of light pineapple with good tangerine orange flavor that abounds like crazy. Oily sensing finish of citrus and tropical fruit that washes on the palate nicely and simply. Controlled even almost light candy mint sweetness for balance.
A super easy drinking flavorful IPA with a good mix of citrus and tropical character. More please!

Can dated 09/26/19.
Opted for a tulip for this because I thought this was a New England styled IPA, and it might possibly be one but here are the rest of my thoughts.
The appearance was a slightly ruddy burnt orange/bronzed paper color with a slow moving head falling off. Slight lace in foamy semi-filmy waves.
The aroma had some juicy pineapple chunks, honeydew, melon rind and some lactose sweet creaminess.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side all of the way through. Lactose creamy sweetness and pineapple chunks take the lead pushing back most of the bitterness. Slight sticky sweet lactose creamy aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with some sipping ability to it. Appropriately carbonated for the style and some stickiness, finishes sticky with lactose creaminess.
Overall, not one of the better New England styled IPA's on the market and really too sweet to be an American IPA as well. Maybe again, but only if I can find fresher. Not sure why I thought I heard some people said this style of IPA could be aged longer, well, just goes to show how stupid some so called beer experts are.

Look is nice hazy yellow. Smell is melon papaya and sweet tropical fruit. Taste pretty much follows nose, sweet. Feel is medium and creamy. Overall a very nice IPA that I would drink again.
