Kettle-soured ale, brewed with milk sugar. The blueberries and blackberries give it a punchy berry character and a deep purple color.

Appearance: A bubble show with a pink grapefruit colored liquid is an interesting sight, with the off-white head building to two fingers before fading to a film; speckles and shards of lacing

Smell: The sweetness of the blueberry and the tartness of the blackberry complement each other and the milk sugar adds some texture

Taste: Sweet blueberry flavors forward with the blackberry adding a tart side; the sweeter elements are dominant though the finish is somewhat dry

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Nicely balanced and refreshing; the selection of the two berries work well

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.

Real neat looking fruit beer. Deep dark pink with light purple body color and a slight opaque appearance. Body glows a little bit but also stays away from murky sludge. It's coupled with a real fluffy dark pink to purple cotton candy looking head that makes a real good addition.

Good solid blueberry aroma, but there's a hint of somewhat vegetative if maybe even beet juice sensation. Are my eyes thwarting my nose? Good sense of jam puree thick and rich too.

Palate really hits the spot. Mid palate hits with rich fruit berry flavors and a thick malt presence. I feel like seeds are getting stuck in my teeth as the berry quality feels real expressive. The beer angle is there quite nicely too, rich malt density and backbone, perhaps a touch of wheat or pils chew, and a good bakery bready finish to match.

Excellent fruit beer.
