16oz. can served in a tulip nonic. Pours a hazy straw gold with a loose, quarter inch, bright white head. Old school nose -aromas of grapefruit and herbal notes and a hint of malt. Taste follows nose with a slight tanginess at the back. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a mild astringency and a carbonation just shy of lively. Overall, a decent example of a classic style.

From an undated 16 oz. can. Sampled Dec 13, 2020.
It has the hazy look but it is not all that pulpy. Orange-amber color under a lasting ivory head.
The aroma expresses fruitiness, pine, and a mild dankness with whit bread notes balancing it out.
Smooth, light-medium mouthfeel.
The taste is more sweet and fruity with less pine here and a mild finish. Enjoyable and easy drinking.

Picked this up recently at Gary's in Wayne as I hadn't had anything from Foundation for quite some time. The peacock design on the label was a nice touch although the liquid on the inside was as colorful on the palate. Sure, this may have checked off all the proverbial boxes when it comes to an American IPA but with so many other choices out there, this wouldn't be one of the first ones that I'd reach for...
This poured a straw gold with a decent amount of light passing through the haze. Not a lot of head topped this off and there wasn't a lot of lacing left behind either, with just a wavy, rocky hint of a ring near the top of my pint glass. Lots of wheat, wine, and white grape in the muted nose as the fruit flavors were more pronounced in the taste. Some cantaloupe and astringent grapefruit entered the fray as this warmed up with a bit of wood and hop dankness underneath that. For some reason, this didn't quite mesh as it did have an underlying slickness and full body that helped to soften the proverbial blow that I felt from all of the flavors.
The carbonation was on par and so was the alcohol, as I only felt a bit of a warming sensation take hold of me as I finished this off. A dank, woodsy, and slightly minty briskness lingered on my palate as I needed a chaser of water to fully get this down because of the tang from the dark sediment at the bottom of the liquid. Canned on 6/30 with "FANCYPANTS!" written underneath it, I never got the hang of this beer but it was fine to kick back with on a quiet Friday night such as this. Here's to my next foundation beer being better than this one...

From a 16oz can, undated? I can’t find a date. Served in a cervoise.
Pours an opaque bright orange-gold with a finger or so of bubbly foam. Retention is unremarkable, on the order of about a minute, leaving a little fizz and a thin slippery curtain of lacing.
The aroma is sharp and citrusy, predominantly lime, fresh, clean and outdoorsy, whatever the fuck that means.
Taste does a 180° to the nose, leading off thin and watery and sort of like cold, damp cereal grain tea... OK, that was a little unkind but the brewer’s notes promised me ‘cantaloupe, mandarin and white grape’ and, I’m sorry but, uh uh. I’m kind of getting the white grape, like those fruit juice cocktails that, when you read the ingredients, turn out to be 90% grape juice.
Feel is slick and slippery, medium-thin bodied with ample carbonation. Feel is what redeems this beer almost making up for it not really tasting like anything.
Overall, drinkable but disappointing.
