Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a thin layer of light brown head. Looks fantastic.
The nose hits immediately with rich chocolate. Milk, vanilla, marshmallow, raisin, and a touch of caramel. Just so freaking smooth.
The taste is somewhat different from the nose, but still incredible. I'm getting much more roasted malts on the taste. This was almost non-existent on the nose. Again getting sweet chocolate, milk, vanilla, some toffee, and bourbon. This is a perfect example of the barrel not overpowering things here. Love it. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy, and the aftertaste is moderately sweet.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz can poured into my snifter. Beer was picked up at the brewery last weekend. Label says packaged winter of 2022, but it is only October 2022 as I type this....time travel order?
The beer pours a coffee black color with thin dense beige head fizzing up and fading away quickly to an edge layer
Nose is definitely a little boozy with hints of bourbon and dark chocolate and a bit of vanilla. NO hop character on the nose.
First sip reveals a smooth texture and medium to thick body. Carbonation is soft and gentle and very mild. Beer drinks pretty easy on the physical traits.
Flavor is rich chocolate, brown sugar and bourbon and vanilla. Maybe a little caramel or toffee in there too. No fusol heat or black pepper bite from the ABV and no hop presence.
I find this to be an easy drinking big stout with smooth texture and sweet but definitely not over the top flavor profile.
Well made, glad I have more cans.

12oz. Can served in a tulip. Pours one shade shy of black with a tight, 1/8th inch khaki-colored head embedded with ringlets. Head quickly dissipates towards the shoulders leaving a thin, tight band around the shoulders. Nose reveals vanilla, notes of ethanol and butterscotch. Taste follows nose; however much more complex - lactose mingles into the flavor profile and spreads everything out. Mouthfeel is medium-light in body with a silky texture and a mild, even carbonation. Overall, delicious, decadent and well-crafted.
