Poured into a glass mug, the appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with an eggshell white foamy head. The gentle dissipation of the head looked very nice. Some modest low lying lace ran around the glass nicely.
The aroma had an exceptional blend of milk and dark chocolate delving into some grainy sweetness. The hemp seed I recognized back in May when I first got the four pack seemed to have dissipated in it's strength here, which I liked.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample amount of bitterness strolling in for a subtle sort of graceful edge snapping that sweetness of the milk chocolate. Light aftertaste of milk and dark chocolate.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a sly sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Slight hoppy to grainy finish with some dark chocolate nibs biting in there with a touch of bitterness.
Overall, as an American brown ale, this is wonderful. I'm glad I waited to say something on BA until I finished the last one of my four pack.
