16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.99. Date of 29 MAR, so this would be a little over 5 1/2 months old.

Look: Pours a pinkish/ruby color with a slight haze. Pretty. There was a nice off-white head that quickly dissipated.

Smell: This definitely has ruby red grapefruit notes to me up front - smells a bit juicy, zesty, and spicy. There's a bit of sweetness and acidity as well. Some secondary, more subtle herbal/vegetal notes. I get a weird perception of artificial sweetener on the nose that I cannot explain. Overall, it smells nice yet simple.

Taste: Interesting. The flavors tend to mirror the nose. Up front, it has a bit of acidity with hibiscus and ruby red grapefruit flavors. The finish started out pithy and bitter, then quickly receded and became slightly sweet and gentle. As I drink more of this beer, the bitterness has been building and lingering longer. I would actually say that this beer has a very bitter and pithy finish, and it is very enjoyable. It's very drinkable and hard to tell that this is 7.3% ABV.

Feel: It's on the lighter side of medium bodied and has an appropriate level of carbonation.

Overall: It's a solid American IPA. I feel like it's rare to be able to find a non-NEIPA and non-WCIPA nowadays; while I enjoy both of those styles, sometimes you just want something different. Just give me a regular American IPA - something that is creative and neither a sweet, hazy, juice bomb nor a bitter bomb. If you like pink grapefruit, then you would likely enjoy this beer. I enjoy the acidity here. It's hard to call this beer juicy because it has such a bitter finish yet it does have some juiciness within.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a fair orange to pink color along the sides with a slightly darker center, perhaps amber/red. Light foamy head swiftly glides off to leave some messy sliding lace.
The aroma started floral/hibiscus-ish with some tropical fruity tones underneath. Good balance of citrus.
The flavor moderately presented a nice sweetness to blend with a sly touch of bitterness. Light aftertaste of floral sweetness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a sly sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine. Finish is all about the floral/hibiscus sweet dryness but very mobile.
Overall, nicely done AIPA with a Four Quarters creativity. I'd have again.

interesting take on an IPA ... the color was beautiful and the flavor brought some nice fruity notes that were balanced by floral qualities. well executed once again!

Picked this one up on a whim at a craft cellars store. I was intrigued though I am not terribly adventurous with beer styles. *** NOTE *** Thsi is listed as a Farmhouse/Saison but the label says American IPA at 7.3%.

It pours cloudy orange-red color very much like ruby red grapefruit juice with a one finger off-white head at best. Unusual but actually appealing... unfortunately I think this is an old can (no reviews here on a retired beer suggests it might have been there a while) because there are massive amounts of floaties in this one. No big deal but I'm fascinated that they seem to be entirely suspended after even 5 minutes.

The aroma is entirely delightful with a perfect waft of rose petals. Not picking up the juniper on the nose.

The flavor is actually quite good - a nice clean taste of floral bitterness. The juniper comes out in the finish subtly, just right. Malt is low.

The feel is soft and almost creamy, clean finish, not sticky on the lips.

I have to say this is a delight. Too bad it is retired as I think this could be a hit. Maybe in a different market? BTW - this is definitely coming across as a NEIPA, so this is marked wrong here. Great job Four Quarters! I was unaware of you guys but I think I will look your way next time I'm in VT around the Canadian border :)
