This one pours a still-looking (because it is) clear light reddish color, with no head or lacing. The bottle is admittedly very cool-looking.
This smells like sweet cinnamon candy, a bit of sour funk, and a floral sweetness as well.
I don't really like still beers - they can sometimes work very well, but they often fall flat for me. This is definitely an example that tracks closer to the latter experience for me. The cinnamon is luckily judiciously added - a large amount of cinnamon could have sent this one spiraling downwards. It's a sweet cinnamon, candy like flavor, and it melds well with the hibiscus' floral sweetness. It's not very sour, with a just a hint of it on the back end.
This is kind of flabby and flat, as expected, but the low acidity makes it more drinkable than I would have thought.
I like the thought behind this, and the creative packaging, but it just doesn't work all that well for me.
