16 oz can acclimated to 58°F and poured into a tulip glass.
Pours what I would call a murky wine red with slightly darker red jasper highlights. Produces a 0.5 finger Foamy cream colored heard, dissipating quickly and leaving a film of medium bubble lacing that falls quickly.
Initial aroma is strong, slightly skunky coffee, fresh raspberry, and some fresh cherry.
Smelling further, I get an overall cooling scent, and I'm likely imagining it, but a hint of buttercream icing??
After agitating, I get yeast, fresh raspberry, and a little coffee.
Initial taste before swallowing is sweet and intense raspberry.
After swallowing I get bitter coffee, then very sweet raspberry then a mellow blend of the 2, which grows somewhat stronger, becoming a coffee breath taste in the whole mouth with raspberry tingliness on the back of the top and tip of the tongue. This taste lasts into the finish, with the raspberry prevailing over the coffee. Subsequent sips don't seem to yield coffee in the beginning, and are overall dominated by raspberry, with would content becoming noticeable in the back of the throat, it's specifically a very warm tasting alcohol, but not clear tasting like I often get from beer. In the finish of later sips, I notice what seems to be plum or prune esters.
Feel is very nice. It has a good amount of body, and carbonation can be reconstituted through agitation, the combination of these 2 leads to a nice, moderately thick wave of moderately frothy beer that feels great.
Overall this was surprising but really great. I didn't expect as much of a fruitiness as I got, but it was excellent. I also found it to blend nicely with the coffee, although that faded in intensity after the first few sips.
I'm not sure I'd buy it again, but I'd definitely drink it again happily.

Poured into a pint glass from a 16 oz can; no birth date. Pours dark brown with sweet toffee & caramel notes and spices; not too overpowering. Good head retention and lacing. Not too boozy given the high abv. Good Xmas beer!

Can. Dark amber brown clear with dense head and lace. Boozy maple sugar caramel aroma with some herbal notes and minerals. Very sweet but not cloying but also not really rich. Maple sugar rye bread a lot of fruitiness for style. Herbal minerally finish. Medium body. Nicely carbonated.
