My 3rd at the Oak Park 7th Generation Beer Fest.
This is a decent kolsch. One that probably pairs well with several selections on this farm-to-table like restaurant.
Lawless is balanced. (Too often American brewpubs gets nervous about the Kolsch's idiosyncrasies of using both ale and lager processes... so they go to the American palate's default and pile in the hops and hope for the best)
But Lawless is just malty enough in the Smells and just dry enough in the Tastes. It is medium bodied and bubbly.
Advertised as Evanston's first brewpub and having started only 5 years ago, I'm a bit surprised that I haven't heard of Peckish Pig or been there or snagged a can on the shelf. So, I guess Peckish Pig is further proof that the micro-explosion of brewpubs is welcome and should be tried as a good thing.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
